W. Hardy has had an ongoing relationship with Acadia National Park since 2000, one of the most visited National Parks in the country. We built Acadia’s Intranet with interactive database technology that allows over 150 park-wide staff members to easily communicate and post ongoing information on a daily basis. We also built an on-line reservations system to help the park manage camping requests.
The Challenge: Acadia National Park needed a communication system that would allow their 150-person staff to quickly post and view upcoming events, and a reservations system to help manage camping requests.
The Solution: We created a dynamic Intranet system that includes our custom reservations software. Through interactive forms, staff members can easily post information for others to view and search. In addition, staff members can mange their requests for camping at key campgrounds throughout the park. The software allows staff to enter reservation requests, view availability, manage revenue and generate letters to those requesting reservations.
